Current Need ~ April, 2011

 We are currently looking for engineers with two or more years of focused application development experience with embedded automotive systems such as infotainment, navigation, telematics, engine controls, body controllers, etc.

Additional Required qualifications:

  • three or more years experience:
    • developing with embedded C and/or embedded C++
    • implementing applications under real-time operating systems
  • two or more years experience:
    • working with CAN-based bus protocols such as J1850, J1939, J1708/J1587, GMLAN, FlexRay, LIN, MOST, etc.
    • working with real time operating systems
  • demonstrated ability to work as a part of a software engineering team

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • experience with vehicle diagnostics & related tools such as Vector tools (CANanalyzer; CANoe), CANdi, CANdela Studio, Vehicle Spy, etc, and diagnostic interfaces such as OBD/OBD II
  • experience in embedded Linux development
  • experience with Freescale/Metrowerks CodeWarrior development environment
  • experience working to EPA, DOT, CAFE, CARB emissions standards requirements
  • BS or higher in CS, CE, EE, or related major fields
  • experience programming in assembly language(s)
  • experience developing low-level drivers
  • experience developing software creating and reviewing software development artifacts such as requirements specifications, design specifications, test specifications, test plans, test procedures, etc.
  • demonstrated ability to estimate software size and/or effort
  • ability to clearly and accurately communicate progress and other project status information
  • ability travel on a limited basis
